WARNING
The accumulators must always be accessible for operation and
maintenance – do not impede or block access.
IMPORTANT
• Read through the operating instructions carefully before
starting installation and commissioning.
• Install the accumulator according to current regulations (e.g.
on pressure vessels).
• Check first that the accumulator is the correct volume. (See
Appendix for instructions on how to calculate the volume you
require).
• The accumulator may still contain traces of water from the
factory tests. If using with chemicals which may not come
into contact with water, remove all traces of water from the
accumulator or rinse with a suitable solvent.
• Do not use accumulator with feed chemicals which could
corrode the materials (see ProMinent
latest catalogue or at www.prominent.de).
• Protect the accumulator from direct sunlight and other UV
sources.
• Install the accumulator as close to the pump as possible.
• Fit an adjustable bypass valve or multifunction valve to
protect the accumulator. It could otherwise rupture or fly
across the room in the event of a fault.
• Accumulators with diaphragms work effectively only at a
certain back pressure. Therefore, fit a back pressure valve/
discharge valve if the back pressure is low.
• Fit a connector for a pressure gauge near to the accumulator
to enable the pressure conditions in the lines to be checked.
• Fit a stop valve to enable depressurisation of the accumulator.
• Fit a drainage valve to enable venting of the accumulator. (A
drainage valve is already integrated in size 0). Feed a hose
from the drainage valve into the feed tank or into an alterna-
tive vented container.
