Installing the appliance
IMPORTANT: At least two people are needed to install
this appliance.
• Place the freezer on a surface sufficiently firm to bear
the weight of a filled freezer. Adjust the feet to
stabilize the appliance.
• Leave a space of at least 12cm behind and around the
sides, to allow air circulation to cool the compressor
and the condenser.
• Do not place the appliance in direct sunlight or near a
heat source (boiler, heater, etc). Direct sunlight can
damage the surface and heat can increase energy
consumption. A temperature that is too low can also
affect the working of the appliance.
• Avoid placing the appliance in a damp environment.
Dampness can cause a build-up of ice inside the
freezer leading to more frequent defrosting of the
appliance.
• Plug the appliance into a dedicated wall socket. Do
not cut down or remove the third pin (earth) of the
power cable under any circumstances.
