Troubleshooting Guide
Problem
Helicopter will not
initialize
Helicopter will not
spool up
Motor power decreases
during flight
Cannot turn off
throttle hold
Powers off when flying
upside down (inverted)
Poor tail authority
Climb out rate is greatly
reduced
LED on receiver fl ashes
rapidly and aircraft will
not bind to transmitter
(during binding)
LED on receiver fl ashes
rapidly and aircraft will
not respond to transmit-
ter (after binding)
Helicopter vibrates or
shakes in fl ight
Possible Cause
Throttle at high position
Switches not in normal position
Pitch or throttle servo reversing im-
properly confi gured
Throttle hold on
Low battery voltage
Receiver uses default soft Low
Voltage Cutoff (LVC)
Stunt Mode switch still on
Throttle not at low position
Stunt Mode off
Tail boom is cracked
The tail rotor blade is warped
or bent.
Main gear has slipped on the main
shaft.
Transmitter is too near aircraft during
binding process
Bind switch or button was not held
while transmitter was powered on
Aircraft or transmitter is too close to
large metal object, wireless source or
another transmitter
Less than a 5-second wait between
fi rst powering on transmitter and con-
necting fl ight battery to aircraft
Aircraft is bound to a different model
TM
memory (ModelMatch
radios only)
Flight battery/transmitter battery
charge is too low
Transmitter may have been bound to
a different model (or with a different
DSM Protocol)
Aircraft or transmitter is too close to
large metal object, wireless source or
another transmitter
Damaged rotor blades, spindle or blade
grips

Solution
Reset controls with throttle stick and throttle
trim at center or lowest setting
Set flight mode to OFF/0 and exit throttle
hold.
Reset servo reversing
Refer to "Programming your Transmitter"
Turn off HOLD with throttle low and trim
centered or low. Refer to "Throttle Hold"
Completely recharge fl ight battery
Recharge flight battery or replace battery
that is no longer performing
Set flight mode to OFF/ 0 and
exit throttle hold.
Reset controls with throttle stick and throttle
trim at center or lowest setting
When flying, switch stunt mode to ON/1
before flying inverted.
Replace tail boom
Twist rotor blade back into position
or replace.
Push main gear back into position.
Power off transmitter, move transmitter a
larger distance from aircraft, disconnect and
reconnect fl ight battery to aircraft and follow
binding instructions
Power off transmitter and repeat bind pro-
cess
Move aircraft and transmitter to another
location and attempt binding again
Leaving transmitter on, disconnect and re-
connect fl ight battery to aircraft
Select correct model memory on transmitter
and disconnect and reconnect fl ight battery
to aircraft
Replace/recharge batteries
Select the right transmitter or bind to the
new one
Move aircraft and transmitter to another
location and attempt connecting again
Check main rotor blades and blade grips for
cracks or chips. Replace damaged parts.
Replace bent spindle.
