CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PRODUCT IN COMBINATION WITH OTHER
MATERIALS. 3M SPECIFICALLY DOES NOT WARRANTY THE PRODUCT
FOR ANY INTENDED OR UNINTENDED USES (WHETHER OR NOT
FORESEEABLE FOR COMPATIBILITY OR SUITABILITY WITH OTHER
COMPONENTS OR COMPATIBILITY WITH ANY METHODS OF
MANUFACTURE OR CONVERSION). THE FOREGOING WARRANTY IS MADE IN
LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING
THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND FREEDOM FROM NON-INFRINGEMENT.
LIMITATION OF REMEDY
If Product is proven to not meet 3M's specifications, the sole and
exclusive remedy available and 3M's only obligation shall be, at 3M's
option, to replace such quantity of Product which are proven out of
specification or to refund the purchase price paid for the Product.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITIES
THE REMEDIES PROVIDED HEREIN ARE EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES
AGAINST 3M FOR ANY ALLEGED OR ACTUAL NONCONFORMANCE
TO SPECIFICATIONS OR DEFECT OR OTHER FAILURE IN PRODUCTS
OR FOR 3M'S PERFORMANCE OF ITS SUPPLY OBLIGATIONS. UNDER
NO CIRCUMSTANCES IS 3M LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT,
INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING
LOST PROFITS) IN ANY WAY RELATED TO THE PRODUCT OR TO
PERFORMANCE OF THIS AGREEMENT UNDER ANY THEORY OF LAW
INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, NEGLIGENCE AND STRICT LIABILITY.

Directions for Use

1. Ensure the power cord is
connected to the back of the
control unit and the power cord
is plugged into an appropriate
outlet. If desired, ensure the
provided monitor cable is
connected to the back of the
control unit and to the YSI-400
type input on the patient monitor.
2. Use an alcohol wipe to clean
and disinfect the patient's
forehead above the orbital ridge.
Allow the patient's forehead to
completely dry.
3. Connect the sensor to the sensor
cable connector. Ensure the
sensor tab is properly connected
and is fully inserted into the
sensor cable connector (Figure 1).
4. Remove backing liner on the
sensor to expose adhesive
(Figure 2).
5. Position the sensor cable away
from the patient's face and
apply the sensor to the patient's
forehead above the orbital ridge,
on either side, avoiding the frontal
sinus. (Figure 3).
