- If the tension does not comply with the value stated in the previous
point, it must be adjusted:
- use a 17 wrench to loosen the M10 locking nut of the ABT
- adjust the tension using a 15mm wrench
Fig. A
Fig. B
- tighten the M10 nut with a tightening torque of 40Nm
- check the tension of the belt and, if necessary, repeat the
adjustment as described in this paragraph.
Implementing machine safety measures
- refit the belt guard (if present).
- Replace the upper inspection fins acting on the fixing screws
on the sides of the fins.
- Replace and firmly fix the safety screen, be sure to respect the
torque indicated in the dedicated section.
- After having made sure that installation was performed
correctly, turn on the machine and check its correct operation.
7.5 SCREW TIGHTNESS CHECK
Periodically check the tightening of the bolts and nuts in the
following points:
•
M8 screws that secure the motor and motor plate, specified torque:
- 18 Nm
•
screw between the pulley and motor, specified torque:
- 10 Nm (M6 screws) using threadlocker (medium strength)
- 25 Nm (M8 screws) using threadlocker (medium strength)
CAUTION
Incorrect tightening torque values may cause damage to the
equipment!
7.6 TROUBLESHOOTING
WARNING
Repair operations on the fan must only be performed by
trained personnel in compliance with safety regulations and the
instructions given in this Manual.
Before performing any type of repair, isolate the power line by
opening the main switch.
EN
Failure to operate may be due to the following causes:
•
main switch open;
•
wrong adjustment or failure of the automatic control;
•
blown fuses;
•
dirt lodges in the propeller and/or in the convener internal ring;
•
open circuit in the connection box or in the socket.
If assistance or service is necessary by the company. technical
personnel, contact your local sales representative or Distributor.
CAUTION
In the event of repair, exclusive use of original spare parts is required.
The original spare parts are guaranteed by the manufacturer for
12 months.
On any non-original spare parts used, there is no guarantee that
they can withstand the stresses to which they would be subject
during normal operation.
8.
PROLONGED MACHINE INACTIVITY
If the fan is placed out of service and kept inactive for an extended
period, it must be protected from humidity and bad weather.
Disconnect the fan from the mains power supply.
Make sure to carefully seal the air inlet opening or, alternatively,
use the special insulating blanket (WPC option) available on request.
NOTE
For correct storage of mechanical parts and the electric motor, it
is recommended to eliminate the humidity and conservation at a
temperature not lower than -20 ° C.
9.
DEMOLITION AND DISPOSAL
Any demolition of the machine must be done by qualified
personnel who are trained for the job.
CAUTION
During the deinstallation and demolition of the machine, use of
personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
Strictly adhere to the same instructions and recommendations
already presented in this Manual in the installation section.
During the demolition of the machine, particular attention must be
paid to the disposal of the various components that it comprises of.
To dispose of the machine it is necessary to follow the different
procedures provided for in the country of installation of the material
for disposal.
The materials used in the construction of the machine are mainly
metal alloys, for the structural parts, and the electric motor.
The machine is not made with special materials which require
any special disposal process. However, in case of destruction,
the materials that make up the machine must be disposed of in a
differentiated manner in the appointed collection centres.
For the majority of the metal mass, it is sufficient to subdivide
the stainless steels parts and those in other metals and alloys, to
correctly send to be recycled by melting.
To dispose of the electric motor, comply with that indicated by
the manufacturer.
