product. Our products are known for their high quality
and longevity. This KaWe product meets EC standards
93/42/EEC (standards for medical products).
Please read this User's Manual
thoroughly and carefully before attempting to use this
product and heed the given care instructions. Familiarize
yourself thoroughly with the operation of this unit before
using it.
Retain this User's Manual for future use and pass it on to
the next user of this device.
Use:
This diagnostic light is only to be used by authorized
professionals.
Intended use:
These lights are used during diagnostic procedures to
illuminate areas of the body to be examined such as, for
example, inside the mouth or the surface of the skin.
The Cliplight LED diagnostic light is approved for eye
examinations (Photobiologically safety tested in
accordance with standard DIN EN 62471:2009-03 for
lamps and lamp systems).
Operation:
Cliplight diagnostic light: To turn on, press the clip
against the shaft of the pen until contact is made with
the metal ring on the shaft. To replace the batteries,
unscrew the metal lamp socket.
KaWe DIALIGHT® XL diagnostic light: To turn the
light on and off , slide the black plastic switch back and
forth. To replace the lamp or batteries, unscrew and
remove the head from the handle.
Diagnostic light, white: To turn on and off , press the
black button at the top of the pen. To replace the lamp or
batteries, unscrew the black clip part of the pen.
Unsuitable use/contraindication of the
products:
Any use other than that described here is not in
accordance with the intended use. The manufacturer is
not liable for any resulting damages.
The Cliplight, DIALIGHT® XL and Diagnostic light - white
diagnostic lights may not be used for eye examinations!
Warning:
Never allow the lamps to come into contact with fl uids.
No direct contact with the tongue or mucus membranes.
When examining the mouth cavity ensure that the light
does not fall into the mouth due to the risk of suff ocation!
If the lights show visible signs of damage, they are to be
removed from clinical use.
The Cliplight, DIALIGHT® XL and Diagnostic light
- white diagnostic lights may not be used for eye
examinations!
Warranty:
When used properly and in accordance with the User's
Manual we warranty this product for two years from the
date of purchase (except bulbs/rechargeable batteries).
For necessary repairs, please contact your dealer.
Limits of reuse preparation:
No special requirements. It is recommended that the
instruments be cleaned as soon as possible after being
used.

Storage and transport:
Please store the lights in their packaging in order prevent
them from collecting dirt or dust. Caution: The lights may
break if dropped.
Cleaning:
The surface of the lights may be cleaned with damp or
dry cleaning rags.
Disinfection:
The surface of the lights may be disinfected with a cloth
moistened with alcohol.
Sterilization:
Sterilization not possible.
Inspection and functionality test:
Visually inspect the light before using it.
Additional information:
This product is to be disposed of at a separate collection
location for electric and electronic devices.
