Lower: mark the number that represents clients starting shade
for lower teeth
For best results using the Philips Zoom QuickPro Take-Home
Whitening Varnish treatment clients should have a starting shade
of A2 or darker.
4. With the client in front of a mirror, watch and give direction as
needed, as the client applies the first treatment (since client will
have just had a polishing it is not necessary for them to brush
and floss their teeth for this first treatment). Once the
treatment is applied and both the dental professional and the
client are comfortable with the instructions, client leaves the
office with the varnish on and will remove it 30 minutes later by
either brushing or wiping off.
5. All other Philips Zoom QuickPro Take-Home Whitening Varnish
treatments will be done by the client at home.
PRECAUTIONS
• Wait 2 weeks after whitening to replace bonded restorations.
• Advise clients that if irritations such as redness, swelling or
soreness of the gums or the mouth occurs, discontinue use and
consult their dentist.
• Advise clients to not eat, drink or smoke while varnish is on
the teeth.
CLIENT INSTRUCTIONS
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS:
a) Familiarize yourself with the WARNINGS presented on
page 10 before proceeding.
b) Brush and floss your teeth.
c) Insert grey cheek retractor. For easiest results, squeeze the two
sides together and insert from left to right and release.
The arrow should be pointing up and facing the mirror. The
cheeks should be pulled back exposing teeth. Refer to image 1.
d) Use tissues to thoroughly dry gums and teeth. Remember to
swallow naturally during the application process. If excessive

saliva pools around the lower teeth, use a tissue or cotton
swab to keep gums and teeth dry.
e) Open vial 1 (hydrogen peroxide), dip in a white applicator
brush. Beginning with the bottom teeth and starting from back
to front, brush upwards away from the gum line with a smooth
even stroke. Refer to image 2. Layer 1 must be applied
within 60 seconds. Try not to go over the same area
repeatedly. If the first stroke did not cover the entire tooth,
turn the brush and apply on the remaining section of the
tooth. Re-dip the brush and repeat with the next tooth. A thin
layer of varnish is all that is required and will dry in about
30 seconds. Applying too much will result in longer drying
time. Varnish is dry when it is no longer sticky to the touch.
Unused portion of vial 1 and the applicator brush should be
disposed (refer to Disposal Instructions).
f) Open vial 2 (sealant), dip in a black applicator brush and quickly
apply beginning with the bottom teeth, moving back to front
and using the same technique as with layer one. Unused
portion of vial 2 may be re-capped and placed back in the kit.
The applicator brush should be disposed.
g) Once the sealant is dry (takes about 30 seconds) remove the
cheek retractor. Rinse off with warm water, dry and return to
the QuickPro kit.
h) Do not rinse, eat or drink for 30 minutes while the varnish
is on.
i) After 30 minutes, remove the whitening varnish by using your
toothbrush or wiping off with a paper towel or tissue.
j) We recommend applying QuickPro Take-Home Whitening
Varnish 2x per day for 4 days for maximum results.
Remember: Keep the whitening varnish on your teeth for
30 minutes and do not eat or drink during this time. While
little sensitivity has been reported with the use of QuickPro
Take-Home Whitening Varnish, every person is unique. If you
experience sensitivity, a mild over-the-counter pain medication
can be taken after the whitening varnish has been removed.
