Setting the hedge cutter on the desired cut
angle
Warning!
Do not take hold of the blade when the engine is
running. The blade can vibrate, even when the engine is
idling

Different blade angles are possible. The hedge shears
can be set in 12 different angles from 80° to -90° in
respect to the outer tube, see A 47. On the previous
page you will find out how you will set them. Make sure
that the latch is securely engaged after each setting.
Prepare the hedge shears for storage or for
transport
Warning!
If you bring the hedge cutter to the storage position, the
engine should not be running.
1. If the engine is switched off, pull the blade cover over
the blade.
2. Turn the hedge cutter so that it runs parallel to the
tube (see steps on the previous page). Make sure that
locking and unlocking is securely snapped into place.

3. Make sure that the blade cover is put on before you
store or transport the device.

Safe to Use
The device is meant for cutting the hedges.
Do not use the device for any other purpose. Do not
attempt to cut hard objects made of stone, metal, plastic
or other hard objects.
The use of the hedge cutter for any other purpose might
result in property damage or serious personal injury.
Preparation:
• Wear appropriate protective work clothes and
protective equipment, see Section "Safety Instructions".
• Select the working position, in which you are
protected as best as possible against falling objects
(branches, etc.).
• Start the engine.
• Fasten the belt.
Never stand directly under the branch that you want to
cut. Pay attention to falling branches. Remember that
a branch can spring back after falling to the ground.
Working position:
Hold the control lever with your right hand and the shaft
with your left hand. Your left arm should be stretched
out in a comfortable position.
Caution: Relax when you feel exhausted.
