ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENT
6) Place the forward-gear complete on to the
outer race.
7) Referring to the illustration, assemble the drive
shaft.
Using special service tool.
8) Install the drive-shaft complete in position.
9) Invent the gear-case, and place the pinion posi-
tion, the insert the drive-shaft and tighten the
locknut to the specified torque.
Using special service tool.
Pinion nut:
36 Nm (3.6 m·kg, 25 ft·lb)
10) Referring to the illustration.
Sub-assemble a shift-rod, new a boot, and then
install the shift-rod complete and tighten the
installation bolt.
11) Referring to the illustration, assemble the pro-
peller shaft.
