Laser class 2
Protect yourself and your environment from
accidents by taking the appropriate precautionary
measures.
Do not look directly into the laser beam with the
naked eye.
Never look directly into the laser path.
Never direct the laser beam at reflecting surfaces,
persons or animals. Even a low output laser beam
can inflict injury on the eye.
Caution: It is vital to follow the work procedures
described in these instructions. Using the tool in
any other way may result in hazardous exposure
to laser radiation.
Never open laser module.
When the tool is not going to be used for an
extended period of time, the batteries should be
removed.
3. Use (Fig. 2a - 2d)
This 180° laser projects a laser line which can be
turned through 180°. It is extremely versatile, being
suitable for small jobs such as hanging up pictures
as well as for major projects such as installing
kitchen cabinets. The laser can be used in your
hand, mounted on the precision level base, or fixed
to smooth surfaces by means of the suction foot
base or to rough surfaces such as walls made of
wood, plasterboard etc.

5. Starting up the laser unit (Fig. 3/4)
Inserting and changing batteries (Fig. 3/4)
Important! Always make sure that the laser is
switched off before you insert the batteries!
Open the battery compartment cover (1) as shown in
Fig. 4 and insert the batteries supplied. Check that
the battery terminals are positioned correctly.
Use only alkaline-manganese batteries. Do not mix
batteries from different manufacturers. Use batteries
with the same capacity.
Switching on (Fig. 3): To switch the laser on, press
the On/Off switch (2) once.
Switching off (Fig. 3): To switch the laser off, press
the On/Off switch (2) twice.
Operation (Fig. 3)
The laser projects a line which can be turned in steps
through 180°. Move the setting wheel (3) clockwise
or anticlockwise until the required angle is indicated
on the scale (4). The wheel latches in the positions
0°, ±45° and ±90° as these are the most common
angles.
The laser unit comes with a magnetic base plate for
easy mounting and individual adjustment on the
domed metal plate of the suction foot base, on the
base for rough surfaces or on the precision level
base. Horizontal alignment is facilitated by the two
spirit levels (5).
