3.1. Safety instructions lithium – ion battery & charger
The disregard of those safety instructions or unprofessional use can
result in injuries or irreversible damage to the Li-Ion battery.
The Li-Ion battery may exclusively be used - in conjunction with the charger - for
the strapping tool TA750.
The use of Li-Ion battery with other than original TITAN battery charger
and TA750 will void the warranty and all liability!
The Li-Ion battery may be operated by trained staff only.
Should the rare event occur that you get electrolyte solution into your eyes,
thoroughly flush them with clear water and use an eye shower, if available.
Consult a doctor immediately!
Check the Li-Ion battery and the charger daily. Do not use them if you
detect damage.
It is strictly forbidden to dismount or modify the Li-Ion battery or connect positive
(+) and negative (-) poles with one another. This might result in a short circuit
and the total loss of the battery.
Check contacts before any use. Do not let metal objects touch the contacts.
Charging the Li-Ion battery with a charger which was not included in the scope of
supply is forbidden. The Li-Ion battery can be damaged seriously.
Charging the Li-Ion battery with the charger must always be done under ward.
The charger may only be used for Li-Ion batteries 36 V.
Never reverse the polarity of the Li-Ion battery and/or charger, and definitely not during
operations or charging.
In case of overheating, smoke formation or ignitions stop use IMMEDIATELY and
put the TA750 aside. Following that, contact your TITAN packing advisor.
Do not transport or store the Li-Ion battery together with metal objects. This might
cause a short circuit.
Do not throw the Li-Ion battery and/or the charger into fire, do not expose the tools to
direct sun radiation. A pressure cooker or the microwave unit are no appropriate
storage places either.
Do not dip the Li-Ion battery and/or the charger into water and protect them against
moisture.
Do not expose the Li-Ion battery and/or the charger to external force like e.g. drilling,
throwing, letting it/them drop etc.
Li-Ion batteries must be collected and recycled in an environmentally friendly
way. Their disposal is governed by the applicable national laws and regulations.
