Precautions: states how the hazard can be avoided
The signal words have the following meanings:
Meaning
Indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, will certainly
result in death or serious injury.
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could
result in death or serious injury.
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could
result in minor or moderate injury or damage to equipment.
Indicates damage that may be inflicted on the product or the
environment.
