Explanation of Symbols
This manual has safety information and instructions to help
you eliminate or reduce the risk of accidents and injuries.
Always respect all safety warnings identified with these
symbols. A signal word will identify safety messages and
property damage messages, and will indicate the degree or
level of hazard seriousness.

Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, could result in death or serious injury.
Important Safety Instructions
● Warning and important safety instructions appearing in
this guide are not meant to cover all possible conditions
and situations that may occur. Common sense, caution,
and care must be exercised when installing, maintaining,
or operating the appliance.
● Always contact the manufacturer about problems or
conditions you do not understand.
● Read and follow all instructions before using this
appliance to prevent the potential risk of fire, electric
shock, personal injury or damage to the appliance as a
result of improper usage of the appliance. Use appliance
only for its intended purpose as described in this guide.
● If an external electrical source is utilized, the appliance
must be electrically grounded in accordance with state
or other codes or, in the absence of such codes, with the
National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70. Do not attempt
to adjust, repair, service or replace any part of your
appliance unless it is specifically recommended in this
guide. All other servicing should be referred to a qualified
service technician.
General Safety Warnings

A child or adult can tip the range and be killed.
Verify the anti-tip bracket has been properly
installed and engaged.
Ensure the anti-tip bracket is re-engaged when the
range is moved.
Do not operate the range without the anti-tip
bracket in place and engaged.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in
death or serious burns to children or adults.
● To reduce the risk of tipping the appliance, the
appliance must be secured by properly installing
anti-tip devices included with the appliance.

avoided, may result in minor or moderate personal injury, or
property damage.
Indicates an imminently hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, will result in death or serious injury.

ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD
● Plug into a grounded 3-prong or 4-prong outlet.
● Do not remove grounding prong.
● Do not use an adapter.
● Failure to follow these instructions can result in
fire, electric shock or even death.

● The range has been thoroughly tested for safe and
efficient operation. However, as with any appliance, there
are specific installation and safety precautions that must
be followed to ensure safe and satisfactory operation.
● Proper Installation – Be sure your appliance is properly
installed and grounded by a qualified technician.
● Never Use Your Appliance for Warming or Heating the
Room.
● Do Not Leave Children Alone – Children should not be
left alone or unattended in area where appliance is in use.
They should never be allowed to sit or stand on any part of
the appliance.
● Wear Proper Apparel – Loose-fitting or hanging garments
should never be worn while using the appliance.
● User Servicing – Do not repair or replace any part of
the appliance unless specifically recommended in
the manual. All other servicing should be referred to a
qualified technician.
● Storage in or on Appliance – Flammable materials should
not be stored in an oven or near surface units.
● Do Not Use Water on Grease Fires – Smother fire or flame
or use dry chemical or foam-type extinguisher.
● Use Only Dry Potholders – Moist or damp potholders on
hot surfaces may result in burns from steam. Do not let
potholder touch hot heating elements. Do not use a towel
or other bulky cloth.
