17. Battery life

The typical operating life of 10 years is reached under the following con-
ditions:
Twelve function tests may be made per year and a full alarm of 90
seconds can be carried out.
One start-up and two range tests can be carried out per year during
the entire service life.
The battery is inbuilt and cannot be removed without damaging
the combined detector. A forceful entry to the device voids all war-
ranty claims.
Please make sure that the batteries are not exposed to
excessive heat from such as sunlight, fire or anything similar.
If exposed to excessive heat, batteries may explode.
