10. Functions of the test button

The combined detector switches on automatically after placing it in
its base. The status LED in the test button will flash green every 45
seconds in normal mode. With the test button, the following functions
can be carried out:
- By briefly pressing the button you can cancel an active alarm.
- Test the unit by pressing the test button for 1 second. The LED will
flash red and the buzzer will chirp 4 times simultaneously. Then the
unit will enter into normal operation mode and the LED should flash
green every 45 seconds.
- Test the unit by pressing the test button for 7 seconds. All colours
of the status LED (green, yellow, red) will flash and the buzzer will
chirp 4 times simultaneously. Then the unit will enter into normal
operation mode and the LED should flash green every 45 seconds.
- Mute-function:
If certain activities are likely to cause false alarms, the alarm can
be silenced during an active triggered alarm by pressing the test
button for 3 seconds. After 10 minutes, the detector returns to
normal operation.
User can only silence the alarm when the CO concentration is under
