- If a combustion appliance is located in a room that is not normally
used, such as the boiler room, the combined detector should be
placed outside the room so that the alarm can be heard more
easily. The transmission range of the lisa radio module is also
benefited by this.
Areas to be avoided include the following:
- Locations where the temperature may drop below -10°C or exceed
40°C
- In wet or damp areas
- Any area where high levels of dusty, dirty or greasy emissions could
contaminate or clog the sensor.
- Where the air flow to the apparatus would be obstructed by curtains
or furniture.
- Next to a door or window or in the path of air discharged from a
furnace / air conditioning vent or ceiling fan.
- Outside of buildings
- Directly above a sink or stove
- In or below a cupboard
