Electric shock due to wrong power pack
A power pack without safe isolation may lead to dangerous
voltages, which may result in injury from electric shock or
system damage.
O
Only use the following power supply for the bus coupler:
24 V DC PELV circuits in accordance with DIN EN 60204-
1/IEC 60204-1.
The PELV power source must be a safety isolation
transformer in accordance with IEC 61558-1 or
IEC 61558-2-6, or a power source offering the same
degree of safety as a safety isolation transformer.
Make sure that the power supply of the power pack is
always less than 300 V AC (outer cable – neutral wire).
To connect the bus coupler power supply:
1. Make sure that the power cable plug has the correct pin
assignment (see Table 6 on page 68), if you do not use a pre-
assembled cable.
2. Connect the power supply to the POWER X10 connection (3)
on the bus coupler.
3. Check the operating voltage specifications according to the
electrical characteristics and comply with them
(see chapter "Technical Data" on page 90).
6.3.5
FE connection
O
To discharge EMC interferences, connect the FE connection
(4) on the bus coupler via a low-impedance line to earth.
Recommended cable cross-section: 10 mm
