3.3 - INSTALLATION OF THE APPLIANCE
3.3.a - Place of installation
BEFORE INSTALLING THE UNIT, CHECK FOR THE PRESENCE OF ANY
CABLES, HYDRAULIC OR GAS PIPES, ETC. IN THE WALL OR FLOOR WITH
THE USER; THIS WILL PREVENT ACCIDENTS DUE TO DAMAGE.
Installation in the following places could cause problems. If this is inevitable, consult the local dealer.
•
Environments with high concentration of oils for machinery.
•
Brackish environments, such as coastal areas.
•
Environments with high concentration of sulphurous gases, such as spa facilities.
•
Places where high frequency machinery is present, such as wireless equipment, welding machinery
•
and medical equipment.
•
Environments with the presence of combustible gases and hazardous substances.
•
Places with special environmental conditions.
•
Indoor unit
•
The area with inlet and outlet connections must be free from obstructions.
•
The place of installation must be able to support the indoor unit.
•
The place of installation must allow easy maintenance.
•
The place of installation must guarantee sufficient space around the outdoor unit, as indicated in figure
2 and figure 4.
•
The environment must not be exposed to strong electro-magnetic waves.
•
The place of installation must be distant from sources of heat, steam and inflammable gases.
3.3.b - Assembly of the fixing plate (B)
BEFORE FIXING THE PLATE, MAKE SURE THAT THE WALL WHERE THE
APPLIANCE IS TO BE INSTALLED CAN SUPPORT THE WEIGHT.
Operate as follows (figures 4 and 5):
a. Position the plate (B) horizontally, respecting the distances envisioned.
b. Mark the drilling points (8 points recommended)
c. In the case of brick or concrete walls or similar, make 8 x 5 mm diameter holes.
d. Insert the plugs (L) inside the holes (use suitable plugs on the basis of the type of wall).
e. Fix the plate to the wall tightening all screws (H).
3.3.c - Drilling for condensate drain pipe
Using the fixing plate (B) as a template, determine the point where to drill to allow the condensate drain pipe
(N) and the water pipes to pass.
Make a 95 mm hole in the wall, which is angled downwards (figure 6).
Always use a wall hole conduit when piercing metal lath, ply wood or metal plate.
NOTE:
• Do not install the drain pipe as illustrated in figure 7.
• Do not form downward curves. Do not immerse the end of the pipe in water (figure 7).
