Interlock not depressed.
Defective switch/ Bad connection
Low voltage from excessive length
or undersized extension cord.
Defective start switch.
Defective motor low voltage
Low voltage.
Bad connection.

The latches have loosened up.

Check power supply and connection
Depress Interlock before activating
control lever.
Contact an authorized American
Sanders Technology Dealer.
Use a 14 Ga extension cord, not to
exceed 50' length.
