Mounting-plate, thrust bearing
• Make a template, from a material such as multiplex, for the
mounting-plate.
The shape of the mounting-plate is determined by the body of the
ship.
• The mounting-plate must have an opening and fixing holes for
the thrust bearing, as shown in the drawing.
Make sure that the thrust bearing is fitted at the back of the mounting-
plate. The rubber buffers must be placed against the mounting-plate on
the propeller shaft side.
The mounting-plate must always be fitted at right angles to the propeller shaft.
