6.1
Moving onto an obstacle
If the system moves onto an obstacle during lowe-
ring, or remains stuck with the safety catches in the
catch bar, a cable loosens. A safety switch (5) lo-
cated below the drive-in rail is activated and the lift
switches off. In this case, move the lift upwards by
pushing the "Bridge" (16) and the "LIFT" buttons
(12) on the operating panel until the obstacle can
be removed or the cable is tensioned again.
Afterwards the lift is in a normal work condition and
can continue to be operated as described in the
operating manual.
6.2
Emergency Lowering
In case of power failure or defect of the electroma-
gnet, the control valve (22) can not be opened.
Therefore, the lift can not be lowered. In this case, it
is possible to open the control valve (22) manually
and bring the lift in the lowest position so that the
vehicle can be driven from the lift.
An emergency lowering is an enga-
gement into the system controls and
may only be done by experienced
specialists. The emergency lowering
must be done in the following descri-
bed sequence, otherwise it can lead
to damage and hazard to life and
limb.
! Any kind of external leakage is not permitted and
must immediately taken care of. This is absolutely ne-
cessary especially before an emergency lowering.
If there is a power failure an emergency lowe-
i
ring can only be done if the safety ratchets (24)
are not engaged. For this reason wait until the
power failure is over. If there is a defective valve,
a latched in lift can be slightly lifted by pushing
the "LIFT" button
o
(12) so the catches (24) can
be manually retracted.
6.2.1 In general
People may not stand in the hazardous area
around the lift.
The safety ratchets must be capable of being ma-
nually retracted in order to fasten them using a sui-
table object (e.g. wire) against latching in.

In order to execute the emergency lowering the
following tools are required:
• 1 x screw-on cap with Allen screw (18)
• 2 x screw-on cap with wing bolt (19)
• 1 x 3 Allen key (23)
• 4 x cable ties/wire (25)

6.2.2 With wheel free lift
In case the lift comes with a wheel free lift, it must
be lowered first because after lowering the rails it is
no longer possible to access the valves MV4 and
MV5 of the wheel free lifts (see hydraulic plan page
21).
If you are underneath the rail, looking in drive-in di-
rection, the valve to lower the wheel free lift is po-
sitioned on the left side of the cylinder (see picture
024) close to the opening of the wheel free lift.
Remove the black cap of the valve MV4 (22) and
replace it by the screw-on cap with wing bolt (19).
The cap is first screwed on the valve and then the
valve can be opened manually by tighten the wing
bolt carefully. If necessary the wing bolt can be ad-
justed later.
