UNIT TROUBLESHOOTING
If you encounter operating problems, please carefully review the following troubleshoot-
ing list to resolve the issue. If the proposed solution does not resolve the issue, please
contact your local dealer or qualified service professional.
Indoor unit does not receive commands from the remote control.
Is there severe interference,
such as fluorescent lights,
static electricity or electrical
wiring problems?
Is the remote control
within range?
Are there obstacles?
Is the remote control aimed
at the unit receiver window?
Is the remote control battery
low? Does the remote con-
trol display appear faded?
Is the remote control
display blank?
Are there fluorescent lights
in the room?
Is the air inlet or outlet
blocked on the indoor or
outdoor unit?
Has the desired temperature
been reached?
Was the heater mode
turned on?
Is there a power outage?
Is the electric cord
loose or unplugged?
Unplug the unit and wait at least 5 minutes before
The remote control must have a direct line of sight to the
unit, within 20 feet (8 meters). Stand closer to the unit.
Remove any obstruction between the air conditioning unit
and the remote control to ensure a direct line of sight.
Aim the remote control directly at the receiver window
on the front of the air conditioner unit.
Replace the batteries with two fresh AAA batteries.
Replace the batteries; if the remote control display
remains blank the controller is likely broken. Contact
technical support for a list of possible solutions.
Come closer to the unit before using the remote control.
Turn off the fluorescent lights and try to use the controller.
No air comes out of the indoor unit.
Turn off and unplug the unit; remove all obstacles.
The unit turns off when the indoor
ambient temperature is reached.
Wait 1-5 minutes before operation automatically begins.
This delay ensures that cold air is not blown out.
Air conditioner doesn't function.
Wait for your electric company to restore power.
Reinsert the electric cord into the
